Pastor Barb Hedges-Goettl is a Philadelphia native who moved to Rehoboth Beach, Delaware in 2020. Most recently she was a co-pastor with her husband Len at Trinity United Presbyterian Church in Clifton Heights, PA. The couple has four adult children and a labradoodle puppy.

Rev Hedges-Goettl graduated from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. She has a Th.M. from Candler School of Theology and a Ph.D. in Liturgical Studies from Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary. She loves working with liturgy to make it all “gel” together around a theme and/or the season.

Pastor Barb started preaching at Makemie after Easter in 2020, and began work as a full-time interim pastor at the church mid-June of that year. She is with the church through what—and who—might come next!
